Image Resizer

Resizes images by percentage, to fit within a size, or to exact pixel dimensions, one or many at a time.

Your photos stay on this device

This tool runs entirely inside your web browser. Your photos are processed on your own device and are never sent to our servers. How this works

Every image is scaled by the same amount, keeping its shape.

Image Resizer is a free tool that changes the dimensions of JPG, PNG and WebP images. Resize by percentage, fit images inside a maximum size, or set exact pixel dimensions, for one image or a whole batch. It runs in your browser, and your images are never uploaded.

How to resize images

  1. Choose a mode: By percentage, Fit inside a size or Exact size.
  2. Enter the percentage, or the width and height in pixels.
  3. Add your images. Each is resized immediately, and you can change the settings to redo them all.
  4. Download the resized images one by one or as a ZIP.

Enlarging a logo or icon? Start from its SVG version if you have one: SVG to PNG renders it sharply at any size. Resizing keeps each image’s format. For smaller files, follow up with the Image Compressor.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the three modes?

“By percentage” scales every image by the same amount. “Fit inside a size” shrinks each image until it fits in a box, keeping its shape. “Exact size” forces every image to precisely the size you type, which can stretch it.

Can I make an image bigger?

Yes, with a percentage above 100% or a larger exact size, but enlarging cannot add detail, so the result will look softer.

Does resizing keep the file format?

Yes. JPG stays JPG, PNG stays PNG and WebP stays WebP. Other formats such as GIF are saved as PNG.

Will resizing reduce the file size?

Making an image smaller almost always reduces its file size a lot, because there are fewer pixels to store. For even smaller files, use the Image Compressor too.
